This dwelling area has floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that fill the room with gentle. Horizontal mullions within the glass doorways are reminiscent of Japanese shoji screens. They complement the house and information your eye around the room. This lounge was designed to resemble an early-1900s library; the lounge accommodates a wall of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves.

The old model of shabby chic living rooms was all a couple of very cluttered look with plenty of colors and patterns all crammed into one house. The new extra modern model still has plenty of patterns and there is well-curated clutter too, it is just extra easy and pared back. The big distinction is the colours, which are lighter, brighter, and more impartial. Now if you are lucky, you can see lovely bricks under your plaster and it can be a straightforward, if not barely messy, a DIY project to reveal them. We love this living room look because it’s cozy and nods slightly to the commercial trend too.
