Writing About Food And Tradition

In Java and Kalimantan, grasshoppers and crickets are often flippantly battered and deep fried in palm oil as crispy kripik snack. Smaller grasshoppers, crickets and termites could be made as rempeyek batter cracker which resembles insect fossil. During monsoon wet season, flying termites are ample being drawn to lightbulbs to mate.
